Tooth-Coloured Restorations with Ceramics and Composites

We use only tooth-coloured materials from the latest generation of nano-ceramic composites, ensuring strength, durability, and a natural appearance.
Depending on the location and extent of the cavity or damage, your tooth may require a composite filling, inlay, onlay, or crown. During your appointment, we’ll discuss all suitable options and recommend the most aesthetic and long-lasting solution for your individual case.

The length of time any filling lasts can vary based on several factors, such as the size, material, area of coverage, if you grind or clench your teeth.

A tooth-coloured filling typically takes around half an hour and costs from £240.

Crowns

A dental crown is a strong, protective covering placed over a tooth that has been weakened by decay, breakage, or large fillings. It restores the tooth’s shape, strength, and appearance while distributing bite forces evenly, helping to prevent future fractures.

This protective “wrap-around” design is especially important for back teeth, which take the most pressure when chewing, ensuring the longevity of your tooth and reducing the risk of tooth loss.

Crowns are also recommended for root-treated teeth, to protect the remaining structure or heavily filled or discoloured teeth, to strengthen and improve appearance.
  • A crown treatment starts from £985 and typically requires two sessions — one for preparation and one for fitting, each lasting around 1 hour 30 minutes.

Types Of Crowns

Posterior Crown

Our posterior crowns, made from durable zirconia or E-max ceramics, are designed to withstand heavy bite forces, ensuring optimal function and strength for your chewing needs.

Anterior Crown

Our anterior crowns are crafted from natural-looking, biocompatible porcelain, meticulously matched to your teeth using electronic shade detectors and shade guides. For exceptional aesthetic needs, technician consultations are available at an additional cost.

Tooth Coloured Onlays & Overlays

Depending on the extent of damage or repair needed, sometimes the entire biting surface of the tooth must be replaced. In these cases, a Full Onlay is created to restore both function and strength.

At Angel Smile, we offer state-of-the-art, in-house CAD/CAM–designed restorations, including onlays and overlays, which can often be completed in a single visit. This advanced digital approach eliminates the need for a second appointment, temporary restoration, or repeat anaesthetic, providing a faster and more comfortable experience.

Treatment usually takes around 1 hour 30 minutes, and costs start from £780. Lab-made zirconia or Gold overlays start from £980.

Why Choose an Onlay or Overlay for Tooth Repair?

Onlays and overlays are stronger and more durable than regular fillings. They help preserve the natural shape and contours of your tooth while reconstructing proper contact points with neighbouring teeth, ensuring better chewing function, stability, and long-term protection for your restored tooth.
Time:
Preparation of the tooth takes around 40 mins.
Placement of a onlay or overlay usually takes around 30 mins
Laboratory preparation of the onlay or overlay takes around 10 days

Fissure Sealing

Fissure sealants are a thin, protective coating applied to the grooves on the chewing surfaces of back teeth. These deep grooves can easily trap food and bacteria, making them one of the most common sites for decay.

The sealant acts like a shield, keeping these areas clean and preventing cavities before they start.

Fissure sealant is particularly recommended for children and teenagers with newly erupted or highly contoured back teeth, where the deep fissures make cleaning more difficult. Applying the coating early helps protect these vulnerable teeth during the cavity-prone years.
