Dr Fariba Banaie completed her DDS degree at the world-renowned Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, in 1993, followed by three years of full-time specialist orthodontic training and a Master of Science (MSc) in Orthodontics at the same university, after which she was appointed as a lecturer.
She has been practising as a specialist orthodontist in the UK since 2002. Devoted to her profession, Dr Banaie continuously attends international conferences and seminars and has undertaken sub-specialty training in Lingual Orthodontics, highly complex braces designed to be placed discreetly behind the teeth.
As a specialist orthodontist, Dr Banaie also serves as a referral centre for complex cases, providing support to colleagues who require advanced orthodontic input.
As well as her extensive experience in treating complex Invisalign cases for adults, she also enjoys working with younger patients using Invisalign Teen. Another key area of expertise is interceptive and early orthodontics for children, where she incorporates Myobrace therapy and uses Invisalign First when appropriate, helping to guide jaw development and correct oral habits.
Her scientific work has been published in the European Journal of Orthodontics, one of the leading publications in the field.
